Summer is quickly coming to an end and we can’t believe it! As many prepare for the kids going back to school and reminisce on the weeks that have passed, we wanted to reminisce ourselves and share with you the amazing August pop up shops we have planned and seen come to life.
If you didn’t get a chance to visit one of our pop ups this August, why not grab a brew, sit down for 5 minutes and have a read through this blog to discover a range of exciting businesses we have been so lucky to work with. Don’t forget, even if you missed our pop up shops, you can still support many of the businesses mentioned via their website, social media or Etsy pages.
Stay tuned until the end, as we have some exciting news about two new pop up shop locations which will be opening this Autumn.
Carlisle- The Lanes Pop Up
Kah Ceramics, Go Your Own Way Apparel & Oak and Stone Organics (16th - 22nd August)
Following on from Bricks in Bloom, Kah Ceramics, Go Your Own Way Apparel & Oak and Stone Organics joined us at the pop up shop and offered an array of products that blended together perfectly.
On our visit we were super impressed with how these three businesses had been able to transform the space. The merchandising of the shop was truly faultless and displayed a wide range of products. From handmade planters & herb markers, to luxury bath salts, dried flowers, patches and jewellery. There really was something for everyone.
Solunar Wax, Somber Knots and Alpha Gray Art (23rd - 29th August)
This week, we welcomed Solunar Wax, Somber Knots and Alpha Gray Art into the shop. These three businesses were the very first to take the space over 12 months ago and their return has been highly anticipated! You can find a range of homeware accessories, gifts, candles, crystals for the rest of this week.
Be quick if you want to visit!
Chester- Chester Pop Up
Dawn Woodcock Jones and By Sam Bull (9th - 15th August)
It was all systems go in our Chester pop up this month, as we began our back to back bookings. We welcomed Dawn Woodcock Jones and Sam Bull after Modern Art Chester. The shop was filled with bright gifts and stationery and the shop looked amazing... it was hard to not walk by and smile! Dawn and Sam had an amazing selection of products which included all things gifting and stationery!
The shop was a great success for the duo, and Dawn had this to say after our visit: “thank you so much for all the support… Sam and I are so completely over the moon with how well it’s going!”
Cheshire Paint (16th - 22nd August)
Entering the pop up the week afterwards, was Cheshire Paint. You may recognise the name, as Cheshire Paint has previously joined us in our SQ pop up! Conor decided this time to bring his fabulous artwork to the Chester pop up shop. Once again our lovely pop up shop was transformed and Conor offered the most eye-catching gallery in town.
If you’ve popped up in one of our pop up shops before and would like to try a different location, don’t hesitate to get in touch! We love to see businesses testing new waters.
Insta Pretty (23rd - 29th August)
Ending the month we have Insta Pretty, an online based clothing boutique. Charlotte has transformed our shop into a women's boutique selling a great selection of clothing to suit any occasion!
If you’re looking for a beautiful dress for a special occasion, you still have time to catch Insta Pretty in our pop up this week!
Altrincham- SQ Pop Up
Benji's (2nd - 8th August)
Ancoats-based Benji’s homeware joined us in Altrincham at the start of August. This small business offered an amazing selection of homeware pieces! With a range of plant pots, candles, tote bags and dried flowers there was so much to choose from and so hard to resist too!
Louise Powers (9th - 22nd August)
Returning once more to our pop up this month was Louise Powers! Alongside her usual products of pillows, cards, tote bags and lampshades Louise also decided to use her pop up shop to host some amazing workshops like terracotta pot painting. These workshops went down a storm and it was fabulous to see the pop up space become a multi-functional space.
The products from the workshops looked amazing and we loved seeing the community of Altrincham get creative!
